The trip splits between two locations, each chosen for its proximity to the courses on the itinerary:
Malmaison Liverpool (Nights 1–3) — A contemporary hotel in the heart of Liverpool's city centre, overlooking Prince's Dock, close to the Albert Dock and Liverpool ONE.
The Vincent Hotel, Southport (Nights 4–6) — A 4-star boutique hotel in the seaside town of Southport, ideally placed for the Lancashire coast courses.
Both hotels are included in the package on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
-
Caddies are not required but are strongly recommended given the nature of these classic British links. Caddie fees run approximately £100 per bag per round including tip, and are paid directly — they are not included in the package price. Please let the trip organizer know in advance if you'd like a caddie arranged, as availability can vary by course.
-
In the UK, walking is the tradition — golf carts are generally not available and are not part of this trip. If you require a cart for medical reasons, please contact us before booking, as some courses will only accommodate this with a medical certificate.
-
Most courses have a maximum handicap of 24; however, some English links courses set a lower limit of 18.4. If this may be a concern for any member of your group, please contact us before registering. You may be asked to show proof of handicap before playing.
-
All payments are non-refundable. Because Intown Golf Club is contractually committed to the full group cost, we are unable to absorb individual cancellations. If you need to withdraw, we will make every effort to find a replacement participant to take your spot, which would relieve the financial obligation. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to John Hall.
-
Airfare is not included. All participants should book their own flights into and out of Manchester Airport (MAN). The recommended arrival time on September 13 is by 9:00 AM, as the group will be met at the airport and transferred directly to the first round at Wallasey. All ground transportation during the trip — transfers between courses, hotels, and the airport — is included in the package, based on the group traveling together.

Outpost Overseas has a preferred relationship with Luggage Forward and can facilitate club shipments. Clubs must be booked and collected approximately 7–10 days before the trip begins. Each course will have its own dress code, but as a general guide:
Golf: Smart golf attire — collared shirts, tailored golf trousers or shorts, soft spikes. Traditional British clubs can be particular; avoid athletic wear or denim.
Evenings: Smart casual is appropriate for most of the recommended restaurants.
Weather: September on England's northwest coast can be cool and changeable. Pack a waterproof layer and wind jacket.
